Are pets allowed?

Pets are not allowed.

What are the arrival and departure times?

Check in at 3:00pm and check out at 1:00pm. If the room is available, we will gladly accommodate your arrival and departure times outside of the above times for an additional charge.

What are the capacities of the houses and can additional beds be requested?

Each house has a maximum occupancy of two (2) persons for Sun, Forest and Sea House, and four (4) for Spirit House.

In the Casa Grande: Suite 2: sleeps 4 people (2 adults 2 children – 1 king bed and 2 twins), Suite 3: 2 adults and 2 children (2 double beds and 2 twin beds) and Suite 4: sleeps 2 people (2 double beds).

 The rate is the same for two people as for one person.

Is there accessibility for people with special needs?

The design of the facilities and the particular characteristics of the water transportation to access El Otro Lado make it difficult for people with physical limitations. However, we will always try to provide what is necessary to ensure that this is not an impediment to their stay.

What is your policy for minors?

People of all ages are welcome. However, it is prudent for all parents to understand that adequate and continuous supervision of their children is requirement.

Is the water safe to drink?

We want to provide our guests with clean, natural water. El Otro Lado has its own drinking water treatment plant. Every evening, while we open your bed, we include thermoses of fresh, distilled water. The Gazebo, restaurant and kitchen use bottled water. Likewise, in the mini bar of the houses you will find bottles of mineral water.

Do you have a private beach?

In Panama all beaches are public.

Do you have parking lots?

In the town we have a private parking lot which is totally closed with capacity for seven vehicles. 

Do you offer transportation service?

Yes, we offer transportation service from any point from Panama City to Portobelo.
